The roots of Foster Caviness trace all the way back to 1902 when two families, Foster & Caviness, began a small fruit and vegetable business in Greensboro, North Carolina. Today they are a people centric organization committed to being the most integral link in the Mid-Atlantic food supply chain.
The people at Foster Caviness describe their organization and people this way:

For over 30 years, Foster-Caviness has been cultivating strong relationships among fruit and vegetable farmers, local artisan producers, restaurants, public schools, other small businesses and North Carolina military bases. From that small fruit and vegetable business in Greensboro the company has continued to grow, and they now service customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, southern Virginia, and eastern Tennessee from three distribution centers in Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh.
